Mommy & Me Project: DIY Laundry Soap

I came across this amazing DIY soap awhile ago but just never got around to making it. With this bitter weather having us cooped up inside, I figured why not. So follow us below to make your own great soap!

Materials needed:
1. One 4 lb 12 ounce box of Borax.
2. Three bars of Fels-Naptha soap. ( You can also use any others like Zote soap)
3. One 4 lb box of arm & hammer baking soda.
4. One box of arm & hammer super washing soda
5. 4 lb of Oxy Clean ( had to buy 2 since they came in 3lbs)
6.Two contationers of the Unstoppables scents

Step 1: Grate up the Fels-Naptha soap.
This step is the most time consuming and kinda tested my patience.
Step 2: Take your Fels-Naptha soap and mix into a big bucket with all the other powders and the Unstoppable beads.
I put mind in a big trash bag and shook everything up.
Step 3: Put in a jar of your choice.
I already had this mason jar on hand. I stored everything else in the tubs stuff came in and bags to be opened as we need them.

The recipe says use one scoop with a large load. I am gonna play around with how much to use in a load.

I spent $35 on everything and it's rumored to last a whole year. And being a mommy, I wash a ton of clothes all the time. I hope this keeps Evie's clothes super clean and keeps more money in my pocket.
