Beginning of the End

So I haven't written for awhile due to drama, work, more drama and being depressed. But things with Evie are going great. She is getting much better at climbing things and is now a super fast crawler.
I have gotten to see her alot over these past two weeks and that makes me happy.

This is the beginning of the end. It has been 2 months and 18 days since the Children's Division turned my life side down. But I have kept my head high and kept moving forward. I will be done with therapy on March 5th and I have a much better job now. I will be working nights so I have my days free for Evie time.Tarzan is looking for jobs and getting money together for his own place. I think that'll happen pretty soon.

I see now that I have been grieving my old life, when we all lived together. But I have to remember I was not happy with that life. I have my issues to fix and relationship issues to fix.So as much as I wish I could have that life back I know it was not healthy and we were all unhappy. Change is hard but necessary sometimes. And for the first time in months I have new found hope.

Glitter and Raindrops

Yesterday Evie turned 6 months! She is already crawling, sitting up and pulling herself up on things. It is so cute when she looks at me with those proud little eyes of hers. It's like she is saying "Look at me Mommy".My plan was to go over and take some cute 6 month pictures but Evie was cranky. We did get to go for a walk, the weather was so nice out. Evie loves going for walks and getting out and about.

When she got from her walk she was pretty fussy. Tarzan and me tried everything, bouncing, rocking, singing and her bottle. Turns out she has started teething. And so starts the joy of teething, it is going to be awful for us and even worse for her. Poor little baby girl.I went up to hyvee to get some teething gel to try, I hope it helps.

Also yesterday Evie's new baby cousin was born. They are now exactly 6 months apart, what are the odds! Baby Greta came into the world at 11:54 pm and is 6 lbs 15 oz, 18.5".

Zoom Zoom

Wow it's been a busy few weeks. Evie is now crawling, she started last week. She is such a fast little baby. And when she sees something she wants she goes after it. She really loves shinny things, but I think that's all babies. She is already trying to walk, just can't figure out what to do with her upper body. It looks like she is doing a downward dog, lol.

She also eye balls anything on the table and will grab for that too. Pretty soon she'll be getting into everything. But she is so cute that I don't think we can be all that mad. She has gone along way from tummy time, to supporting herself, to crawling into chair ( who put that chair in her way?)and now navigating around the chairs. She is a girl on a mission.

Also this weekend we went swimming with her grandma. The pool was really nice, with slides and everything. Evie just loved it! She splashed and kicked in the water, sometimes splashing herself. Aw what a sad little frown she had when this happened. The little pink swim suit was supper cute on her too. After swimming and eating she feel asleep and I had to go home. I hear she was very fussy that night. I think this is what happens when she has had too much excitement. She doesn't want to go to sleep and miss anything I guess.
